Reporting copyright infringement.

Effective September 30, 2026. Customers build and publish their own apps here. If one of them uses your copyrighted work without permission, tell us and we'll act on it.

What a takedown notice must include

Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3)), your notice must be in writing and include:

1. Your physical or electronic signature (or that of the person authorized to act for the copyright owner).
2. Identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed (or, if many works, a representative list).
3. Identification of the material you say is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it — the web address (URL) of the app or page.
4. Your contact information: name, address, telephone number and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

A notice that leaves out these elements may not be acted on. Knowingly false claims can make you liable for damages (17 U.S.C. §512(f)).

What we do with it

We remove or disable access to the material, and tell the app's owner, including a copy of your notice.

Counter-notice

If your app was taken down and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address (17 U.S.C. §512(g)(3)). It must include:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before it was removed.
3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, address and telephone number; a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found); and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice, or their agent.

We send the counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us they have filed a court action, we restore the material 10 to 14 business days after we receive the counter-notice.

Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of customers who repeatedly infringe copyrights, in appropriate circumstances.
